Capstone Project

Students will undertake a comprehensive individual capstone project in Semester 4. Students opting for the Entrepreneurship specialisation will undertake an individual Entrepreneurship Project (4 credits) and all other students will undertake an individual Industry Research Project (4 credits).

  • Semester 4 – Industry Research Project

The Industry Research Project aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to conceptualise, plan, and conduct a comprehensive business research project. Students identify a contemporary issue faced by an organisation or industry and develop a structured research proposal that includes relevant theories, frameworks, and methodologies. This is followed by primary or secondary research, during which they analyse their findings and present innovative, context-specific solutions. The project culminates in a professional report and presentation, showcasing the student’s ability to conduct applied research with integrity, creativity, and independence.

  • Semester 4 – Entrepreneurship Project (for Entrepreneurship specialisation)

The Entrepreneurship Project aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to conceptualise, plan, and execute a comprehensive entrepreneurial project in a safe and supportive environment. Students work on a personal venture or a real-world problem, developing a viable business solution through structured research, market testing, and expert mentorship. The project concludes with a formal business pitch and presentation. A key focus of this experience is to foster a spirit of risk-taking and experimentation with innovative ideas, without fear of failure or penalties for unsuccessful attempts.

Upon successful completion of the project, students will demonstrate the ability to apply entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to personal business ventures, exhibiting high ethical values, creativity, initiative, personal autonomy, and drive.
