Study in Singapore

A fast-paced, multicultural and dynamic financial hub

Welcome to the Lion City! Singapore is among Asia's most innovative countries and one of the most culturally diverse nations in the world. Its four official languages – English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil – reflect the sovereign country's reputation as a cosmopolitan hub. The island city has strong connections with the West and is a popular expat destination. It’s a great place to learn and experience the ‘Asian’ way of business.

Singapore is also famous for its tourist attractions like Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa and hawker centres that serve a variety of cuisines from chilli crab to steaming baos and soups. Living in Singapore offers you such incredible experiences and more.

DISCOVER OUR HISTORY

The SP Jain Singapore campus has a fascinating history spanning over half a century!

  1. The estate was constructed to house British military officers.

  2. The Nizam of Hyderabad, labelled the world’s wealthiest man, is said to have bought property along this road. Hence, the name Hyderabad Road. In fact, our Block B is said to have been the Nizam’s summer vacation mansion.

  3. When the Japanese occupied Singapore, the estate was converted into barracks for Japanese medical officers.

  4. After the British military withdrawal from Singapore, the property was handed over to the Singapore government, which added the six-storeyed building – Block A – which was used by the Institute of Dental Health until 1998.

  5. The Singapore government invited SP Jain to set up a campus here.

  6. After a year of careful restoration and renovation, SP Jain opened its doors to this beautiful heritage campus.

CAMPUS FACILITIES

Our campus has top-notch amenities to help you make the most of your SP Jain experience

Our campus is designed to support collaborative learning. Block A is the main academic unit of the SP Jain Singapore campus. The building is spread over six floors. The first three levels of the building house learning centres, meeting rooms, recreational spaces, faculty offices and a leadership hall. The upper three levels are accommodation rooms for students.

Block B is the heritage block and houses learning centres, a library, student accommodation, student lounges, a banquet hall and a cafeteria that offers a variety of cuisines to cater to our diverse student community.

Learning Centres

Learning Centres

Our classrooms are equipped with lecterns, which consist of computer system access for presentations, and audio reinforcement systems, which include microphones, speakers and related equipment. Additionally, all classrooms are equipped with projectors, and large classrooms have two projectors for better viewing.

All programs use the same classrooms, as they are similar in terms of equipment, and most are tiered. The size of the classroom is decided based on the cohort size. For teamwork, students are grouped in teams in breakout rooms.

  • In the library, shared terminals offer access to on-campus resources like the Reuters Terminal.
  • Multifunction printers are readily available for printing, scanning, and copying.
  • Secure Wi-Fi with high bandwidth enables students to access resources from anywhere on campus.

Our software ecosystem is designed to enhance your academic experience.

  • Office365: Every active student receives an Office365 account featuring Outlook email, MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and tools like Teams and Forms.
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Virtual learning platform, Blackboard, delivers program content, assessments, assignments, and grades, fostering an engaged learning experience.
  • Turnitin: Integrated with Blackboard, Turnitin Studio detects text-matching and potential plagiarism, aiding faculty in reviewing, grading, and offering student feedback on assignments.
  • Lecture Capture: The YuJa Lecture Capture system records scheduled lectures, which are posted on the LMS after the sessions. The system is integrated with Blackboard to help students review their classes and discuss topics with the lecturers.
  • Online Library Resources: Students can access various library resources through the LMS.
  • Student Information System (SIS): Students can access class schedules, grades, transcripts, fees, and more. An associated mobile app provides students with 360-degree information on the go.

Our IT support centres, conveniently located near classrooms, provide in-person and remote assistance. On-campus computing facilities are accessible during extended hours, and all software services are cloud-based and available to students 24/7, anywhere across the globe.

  • Our Learning Management System, Blackboard, makes all the resources shared by faculty available to students to access from anywhere easily. Students can also submit their assessments and assignments electronically and receive grades and feedback.
  • The Office365 ecosystem handles student communication needs and provides the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. This allows students to create, read and submit documents, worksheets and presentations for their classwork and assignments.

We use Blackboard as our Learning Management System (LMS). It enables our faculty to arrange and deliver program learning resources and manage assessments and assignments. Our faculty uses Blackboard to prepare and deliver assessments, such as quizzes, and collect assignments from students. It also embeds utilities to review and share scores and feedback with students. It’s integrated with different ecosystems, like gradebooks, plagiarism-checking tools and question analysis.
