Understanding the business 35,000 feet in the sky - PG students visit Emirates

On 19th May, 2017, the MGB and GMBA batch of SP Jain’s Dubai Campus visited the Emirates Facilities to understand the functioning of one the largest airline services in the Middle East, Emirates.

Carpool Elevator Pitch – 90 Seconds of Adrenaline Rush

During the last week of March 2017, Dr Bhanu Ranjan, Assistant Professor of Communications at SP Jain, organised a 90-seconds elevator pitch in a car for the Global MBA students at the Singapore Campus. Dr Ranjan had invited four individuals from the industry who had to pitch or assess pitches for their day-to-day work, to join in as assessors for the pitches.

BBA Mumbai Jags turn into CSR Consultants for a day!!

The BBA Jags visited the facility of the well renowned Industrial conglomerate Godrej & Boyce Mftg. Co. Ltd to better understand how Indian corporate houses address the triple bottom line issue through their CSR initiatives.

BEC Jags visit Dubai Financial Market

After learning about finance and efficient markets in class, the UG jags went out and experienced how the markets in the real-world work. The BEC Jags visited the Dubai Financial Market in Dubai World Trade Center on 19th March 2017 to learn more about the first financial market which offered its shares through an IPO in the Middle East. The objective was to learn how this reflects the leading role played by the Emirate of Dubai in selling shares of governmental institutions in the region.

SP Jain Jags shortlisted to compete at Facebook – Hack 4 Good

Four Bachelor of Business Communication students from SP Jain have been shortlisted amongst the top 20 students representing GCC to compete at Facebook UAE – Hack 4 good – an Inter University Competition at Dubai Lynx Festival of Creativity, 2017.

The shortlisted jaguars include Kimberly Eliott, Komal Tawre, Natasja Klaire Pagulayan and Sachin Kapoor, who had a chance to visit the Facebook UAE office and join in an interactive session with the Facebook Staff on the 2nd of March. Komal Tawre (missing in the group photo), who was in India at the time, could Skype in during the session and join the discussion and meet the fellow contestants.

MGB Students visit Crown Plaza, IHG Group Dubai

Hospitality is much more than visual or culinary pleasantness. On 23rd February 2017, SP Jain’s MGB students specialising in Contemporary Marketing Management visited Crowne Plaza, IHG Group to understand the function of the hospitality sector in Dubai and its influence on the country’s economy.

Industry Visit with Microsoft: Lesson on technological business solutions & creating unique customer experiences

On 12th February 2017, the GMBA cohort specialising in IT and a few selected Undergraduate students keen to pursue technology and business visited the Microsoft Technology Centre located at Dubai Internet City for an interaction with the Developer Experience (DX) team to understand the business overview of Microsoft and the key role in plays in the UAE & GCC market.

BBA Jaguars visit Lavasa for an Industrial Visit

Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town. S P Jain School of Global Management’s Mumbai campus began the second semester for its BBA JAGS 2017 with their first outbound Industrial Visit to the same place. On the 3rd of February, 2017, Lavasa became a part of the various activities S P Jain introduces to its students every semester.

Small Stage for Big Talents: Cross Cultural Celebration at the Dubai Campus

The SP Jain Students Club, titled M.A.D, that stands and dedicates itself to the rich forms of Music, Arts & Dance hosted their first event in the Dubai campus in line with the Chinese Lunar Year, Australian National Day and Indian Republic Day celebrations on 26th January 2017.
