On 8th February, a team from Amazon Web Services (AWS) visited our Singapore Campus to speak with our MGB and GMBA students sharing the latest technology, industry trends, and job roles. The workshop brought SP Jain a step closer to building a stronger technology-led business curriculum.

BBA Jaguars visit Ski Dubai

Only in Dubai can our jaguars experience snow and the desert!
On 2nd February 2018, the Undergraduate students at the Dubai Campus went to Ski Dubai, an indoor ski resort with 22,500 square meters of indoor ski area. Ski Dubai is a part of the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world.

BEC Junior Senior Mixer: Getting to Know Each Other with Pizza

On 1st February 2018, the second and final year Bachelor of Economics students had a Junior-Senior Mixer at Russo’s New York Pizzeria. The two cohorts got to know each other, shared their experiences from their first year in Singapore, and exchanged life-hacks for living in Dubai. The Head Chef and staff at Russo’s Pizzas shared the story behind the eatery as each student began to create their version of the iconic Russo pizza.

After learning the history of the pizzeria and the basic New York-style pizza, students were given ingredients and equipment to make their pizzas with basic instructive guidelines from the Chef. Students went from creating basic Cheese Margarita to stuffed cheese crusts with pepperoni and all the works.

BBA Student Participates in the Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy’s Workshop at Dubai

BBA student Ahmed Nazdry (Intake of 2016) completed a 3-day workshop at Henry Ford Entrepreneurship Academy (HFEA) on 31st January 2018. Held from 29th January, HFEA conducted a workshop that was open to selected 50 participants from the UAE. The workshop teaches future business leaders to think and act like entrepreneurs.

Gauging the UAE Financial Market & SCA – Global Learning at the Dubai Campus

On 18th January 2018, SP Jain School of Global Management hosted the Global Learning Industry Voices Series on its Dubai Campus. The session was held specially for the global business students, who were addressed by Ms. Pooja Singh, International Relations Specialist and Ali Abdulla Al Abdouli, Awareness & Education Section Head from Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The students were keen to understand the key function and overview of the financial market and regulatory body in the region.

Singapore Campus welcomes the Jan 2018 BBA Cohort

Our Singapore campus recently welcomed 40 new students from 13 different countries as a part of the BBA Cohort. Staying true to the theme of “The world is your classroom”, the Singapore campus currently hosts above 220 students from over 30 nationalities.

Jaguars ace Emirates Environmental Inter-University Public Speaking Competition

The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) hosted its 17th Inter-University Public Speaking competition on 23rd and 24th November 2017. With 4 categories and around 60 teams competing from across the Middle East ranging from Palestine to Jordon, the competition was dedicated to sustainable issues. The topics for discussion included:

  1. Sustainable balance: People and the Planet
  2. Quality Education: Roadmap to Sustainable Development
  3. The Future of Power, and
  4. Sustainable Food Systems – Understanding Food Security
