Academic Experience

  • 5.5 years at S P Jain School of Global Management as Adjunct Faculty and PRP Facilitator and Career Coach.
  • 9.3 years at APIIT City Campus in Collaboration with Staffordshire University UK, as a Lecturer and final year research supervisor as well as 3.9 years as the Business Awards Coordinator.

 

Corporate Experience

2.4 years as a technical writer and business analyst at hSenid Software International, working on human resources management systems for manufacturing, agriculture, telecommunication, and public administration organisations.

Consulting Experience

6.9 years as the founder and principal consultant at SHURMARA Personal and Career Coaching Services. I have worked with clients from Banking, Consulting, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, IT and Education Services, which included coaching and mentoring on starting careers to progressions, establishing start-ups to entrepreneurship pursues.

  • Conducted a workshop on “problem solving skills and understanding real business problems” for final year undergraduate students of APIIT Sri Lanka.
  • Conducted a workshop on “Transitioning To Work – facing interviews the right way”, to the undergraduate students at Universal College Lanka – Monash University Undergraduate Students, in 2018.
  • Presented at the Leadership Conference of Girls High School Kandy Sri Lanka, on the “Importance of Positive Thinking” in 2016.
  • As the keynote speaker at the Leadership Conference themed, “British Spy Confederation 2014”, at British School in Colombo, I spoke about how to become great leaders.
