In a recent cover story with Higher Education Plus, Nitish Jain, Founder and President of the SP Jain Group, shared his perspective on why Artificial Intelligence can enhance education, but never replace its human core.
Reflecting on the evolving role of educators, he noted that while AI can efficiently grade identical case analyses, solve structured scenarios, and respond instantly to routine student queries, it cannot mentor, challenge, or inspire.
“True teaching goes beyond explanations. It requires guiding students to think on their feet, recognise where their reasoning breaks down, and create value through thoughtful curation and challenge,” he emphasised.
He further highlighted that the future of education lies not in replacing lecturers with technology, but in transforming lecturers into coaches - professionals who cultivate judgment, resilience, and critical thinking in ways no algorithm can replicate.
