What do a national swimmer, a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, a young entrepreneur and a wrestling champion have in common? This September, over 200+ students became part of the new undergraduate intake at SP Jain Global.

Across Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai (via BMP* and DSP*) campuses, the new Jaguars have joined the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) programs, bringing with them experiences and interests that extend well beyond academics.

Notable backgrounds

The incoming class brings a strong sporting record, with achievements across district, state, national and international levels. These include national-level swimming, football, cricket, table tennis, snooker, throwball, taekwondo and roll ball, alongside state and district-level basketball, tennis, badminton, karate, volleyball and chess. The range extends to international competitions, including an ISSO gold medallist, a third-place finish at the Thailand National Youth Tournament and a Namangan State wrestling championship.

Outside sports, the group includes trained Kathak and Bharatanatyam dancers, with one student having completed eight years of Bharatanatyam training, as well as students with experience in photography and inter-school events. Their achievements include a Top 10 finish at NMS Shark Tank with startup UNIBUBBLE, third runner-up at the 20th International UCMAS Abacus Competition, and a “Champion in Philippines” award by the Harvard Political Review for an essay and defence competition.

The journey ahead

For the new jaguars, the years ahead will bring learning across classrooms, campuses and cities. Alongside their academic programs, they will work with peers from different backgrounds, experience new environments and gain perspectives that come from studying in an international setting.

The experience will extend beyond their core subjects, with opportunities to explore different interests, take part in campus life and learn through experiences outside the classroom.

The orientation ceremonies marked the start of this experience, bringing the incoming class, their families and faculty together across SP Jain Global’s campuses.
